HISTORY OF OUR PARISH
St. Catherine of Alexandria, Nairobi South C is in the Central Deanery of the Archdiocese of Nairobi. The history of our Parish began many years ago, in 1997, when the then mother parish - Our Lady Queen of Peace in South B, mooted the idea of establishing a prayer centre in South C to enhance the church mission within the area. The plan was to begin with a youth hall to cater for the needs of the energetic youth of South C. As you can see, we are now re-living that experienced based on the recent initiatives to attract the young people in the Parish that includes sporting activities. To achieve this vision, the fundamental requirement was land and land was never cheap at any time in Nairobi.

Our Events
ANNOUNCEMENTS: 16TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME.
- We shall have a 2nd collection today after every Mass in support of Solemn vows profession ceremony which will be here in the Parish on 17/8/2024.
- The missionary sisters’ servants of the word will be in the parish to promote a new book by the name “Prayer of the Heart”
- There will be Youth Mass at the Parish Hall at 11:00am and all Youths are invited.
- There will be blessing of homes on Saturday 27/7/2024 at St Clare SCC and they are kindly requested to pick the priest by 9:00am here in the Church.
- We are continuing with our Birthday challenges, so July babies continue making your contributions.

Next Sunday the 28/7/2024 will be the 17th Sunday in ordinary time.
- There will be Parish council meeting after the 7:30am Mass at the Parish Hall and leaders from SCCs and Church groups are requested to attend.
- There will be a 2nd collection after every Mass in support of Solemn vows ceremony which will be here in the Parish on 17/8/2024.

General Announcements
- Weekday Masses: morning masses at 7:00am, while the evening masses are at 6:00pm
- Saturday Masses at 7:30 am, evening pre festive mass at 5:30pm
- Confessions are done on Friday 7:30 during adoration, Saturday from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM before pre-festive mass and Sundays during the masses
- The priests are available for confession any time within the week.
- Adoration chapel is opened daily from 6:00am to 7:00pm
- Secretariat office is opened daily with an exemption on Mondays
- Visiting of the old and sick is done on call and on second Fridays and fourth Fridays of every month.
